*WANTED: * A couple hours of your time Saturday, Nov. 3.
Responding to National *Chair Howard Dean,* the Yakima County Democrats
will gather
for a "house party" starting at noon in the North Conference Center at
North 1st Street and Lincoln Ave.
There will be thousands of these events across the country.
The program will include a 20-minute video message from Chairman Dean
reminding Democrats
that Saturday Nov. 3, is *ONE YEAR OUT from the 2008 Presidential Election*.
There will also be a 20-minute power point presentation by Erik Horeis,
Eastern Washington field manager, on the State Party Challenge to
produce 100,000 additional votes for Gov. Gregoire and to elect other
Democrats next year.
Yakima City Councilman *Ron Bonlender* will give an update on his heated
race with challenger Rick Ensey. Ron is seeking re-election, but must
fend off the Yakima Republican Party that has jumped into the middle of
this non-partisan race with smear attacks from a nasty Blog.
YCDCC will provide coffee and cookies. You may bring your own beverages
and snacks and spend as much time as you like socializing with party
members and getting revved up for next year's pivotal elections.
While this is a free event, we plan to have some Hillary, Obama and
Edwards Tee Shirts and buttons for sale.

Paul-
I will bring what buttons I have left which includes 3 large Hillary
buttons (the $6 ones). I did not order any more Obama, but can if you want me to.
Probably it would be best to order from the State party as we would only
want to get what we know we can sell. Would you like to order them from Bethia?
And unfortunately I did get a bill for the last 100 Hillary buttons we got
with her picture that was sent to Carmen. The bill was for $90.50 I believe.
But we can settle up later.
Sorry I did not make it Monday night. Don needed to go see his Father and
we forgot to take his ballot. So we will no doubt go Friday or Saturday as
Ron may need his vote. But I will bring the buttons by on the way or leave them
with Deb- whatever you want us to do.

Please tune to Yakima Radio KUSA - 980 AM - tomorrow, Nov. 12
for live interviews with Ron Bonlender, Yakima City Councilman,
and his re-election opponent Rick Ensey.
Ensey will go on the air at 7:30 a.m. and Bonlender at 8:30 a.m.
KUSA is part of the New Northwest Broadcasters network and has no
connection to the Right Wing Clear Channel station.
A victim of the Yakima Republicans' smear machine, Ron lost his re-election
campign. Ron will review the race that included a nasty blog authored
by Rick's wife, Diane.
Please get up early tomorrow and tune in.
And please find some time during the week after Thanksgiving .to
attend a "Thank You" reception for Ron and his wife Kathi.
We are looking at a downtown location for this no-host, strictly social
event that will run after work from 5 to 7 p.m.
