Fellow Democrats:

With 300 plates sold and the count still rising, the caterer has set a
Thursday morning deadline for the final ticket report for our annual FDR
Dinner Saturday evening in the Yakima Convention Center.

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP right away to Deb at
966-2274; Carrie at 452-5133; Robbie at 972-8816 or Joyce at 248-1087.
There will only be a limited number of tickets available at the door.

When RSVPing, please specify your meal choice: Center Cut Pork Loin or
King Salmon.Vegetarian is also available.

Gov. Chris Gregoire, who just launched her campaign for re-election,
will be headline speaker. Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler is
another program speaker along with Peter Goldmark, candidate for state
public lands commissioner.

Saturday's FDR Dinner crowd will be the largest gathering of Democrats
in Yakima in recent years - and will follow the Yakima County Convention
that will be held earlier in the day in the Center. Registration will
open at 9 a.m. The convention is programmed to no later than 3:30 p.m.
to allow for banquet room setup.

A no-host reception is scheduled for 5 p.m., dinner service at 6:15 and
the program at 7 o'clock.

As chair, let me express the gratitude of the Yakima County Central
Committee for the generous support of these major sponsors: the Central
Washington Building Trades Council, Mid-Valley Insurance, Inc. of
Yakima, Attorney Tom Bothwell and Teamsters Local 760.

The tremendous turnout at the presidential precinct caucuses in February
and the great support for our FDR Dinner clearly show that the
Democratic Party in Yakima County is highly motivated and gathering
steam - and determined to make an impact in the November elections.

"Thanks to you all."
Paul George, Chair
