Let's removed them as quickly as possible. Please note that Cortex or plastic signs can not be recycled. Meanwhile, Zach Wurtz and other staffers are cleaning up and shutting down the campaign office while also doing their part in removing campaign signs. Please call Zach at 509/969-6237 with any questions. He will be available for another couple weeks. Zach reports that regrettably, we have no more Obama buttons or T-shirts or signs. Everything is gone. Registration will begin at 6 p.m,.and the call to order will be at 7 p.m. As per bylaws of the State Democratic Party: eligible to vote are Precinct Committee Officers elected Aug. 19, 2008 in the Primary Election and who reside in Yakima County in the 13th, 14th and 15th LDs. Please note that the 13th LD and the 15th LD indicated they will hold separate reorganization meetings early in January - the dates, times and locations to be announced. County Chair Paul George and 14th LD chair Leslie Wahl both announced they will not seek re-election for the 2009-2011 term but desire to serve in some other capacities. Mary Stephenson has announced she will seek election as county chair and Aaron Case will run for 14th LD Chair. This is a reminder, too, of the Holiday Party, Monday, Dec. 8 in El Porton Restaurant, 48th Avenue and Tieton Drive.
