[Yakima Democrats] Tonight's Gregoire Rally - & Other Reminders

[Yakima County Democrats]

    The Yakima Democratic rally for Governor Gregoire gets under way at 
6 p.m., this evening in Millennium Plaza
and we expect a large enthusiastic turnout of sign-wavers as the 
governor enters the Capitol Theater for her 7 p.m. debate with
challenger Dino Rossi.The debate will be televised statewide including 
on our fair booth HDTV.
    Placards will be provided. There will be brief speeches by 
candidates: George Fearing, Vickie Ybarra,
Jesse Farias and Chris Ramiarez.

    And Thursday morning at 8 a.m., a breakfast fund raiser for the 
governor is scheduled at the Greystone,
5 North Front St. Please RSVP to Krystal at 206/903-0520.

    Thursday evening at 6 p.m., please join fellow Democrats for a 
debate watch party at the campaign office, 1101B West Yakima Ave.. 
(469-9268). Enjoy sub sandwiches and soft drinks and the duel between  
vice presidential candidates Joe Biden and Sara Palin. Bring thine own 
spirits.

    Finally, a word about our fairtime raffle. Please turn in your 
tickets and payments at the fair booth or the
campaign office right away - and that includes any unsold books. The 
drawing will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 5 - the last day of the fair.
    Raffle proceeds go to our candidates and toward our share of the 
campaign office rent and other expenses.
