    Congressman Jay Inslee will campaign Thursday (Oct. 16) with 14th LD 
Candidate Vickie Ybarra, starting at 3 p.m., with a rally at Carpenters' 
Hall, 507 South 3rd Street, and then from 4 to 5:30 p.m., at a fund 
raiser at Cascade Wine Company, located at North 1st and A Streets, next 
to the Barrel House.A $25 contribution is recommended.
    Besides boosting Vickie's candidacy, Jay will offer insight into the 
Obama presidential campaign and his views on the economic recovery plan 
(bailout) that he did not support.
    Let's make it a rousing Democratic afternoon.
    And then on Saturday, (Oct.18) please join at least 75 local 
volunteers and 75 bus-borne Democrats from Western Washington in an 
afternoon canvass of undecided and D-leaning voters. The teams will use 
walking lists to cover much of Greater Yakima.
    The bus canvassers will arrive at Carpenters' Hall at 11 a.m., 
Saturday and canvassing with start at noon. Canvassers will return to 
Carpenters' Hall at 4 p.m., for a Mexican Dinner and beverages, catered 
by El Porton,  and co-hosted in part by the Yakima Party.
    You can volunteer to canvass by calling the Yakima Campaign Office 
at 469-9268. Our candidates will need all the volunteers they can get 
during the 20 remaining days before the Nov. 4 general election. Let's 
all work hard to get out the vote.
    Need Obama and Gregoire signs? The campaign HQ will be resupplied 
Thursday (Oct. 16). A new supply of adult Obama T-shirts (and some youth 
sizes) has also been delivered to the campaign office.
