She was 47. She apparently had some sort of reaction to her diabetes on Friday night and they thought everything was okay and then went to bed. Tragically she did not wake up. Rocky needs are prayers and support at this sad time. He was scheduled to chair the 14th LD meeting Monday night. I will take his place. We will have the meeting at the North 1st St. conference center at 7 PM Monday night. If you have an agenda item please let me know. As of now we don't have any information on the funeral. There will be a modest charge for the Obama items to help the Central Committee cover the cost charged by the national campaign committee. Gregoire and other campaign signs are free. The T-shirts in blue, red and white are available in assorted sizes from XX to small. With your help, we want to see Obama T-shirts and yard signs blossom throughout the county, so please come by the office as soon as possible. These items, along with campaign buttons, will also be available at the Yakima County Democratic booth at the fair, Sept. 26-Oct. 5. We have a number of 4X8 Gregoire and Fearing signs that need to be placed in high profile locations. Please identify good sites and help erect these signs. They are are no good sitting in the office. REMINDER - at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1, please join Yakima Democrats for a sign-waving Gregoire rally in the Plaza across the street from the Capitol Theater where at 7 p.m., she will debate Dino Rossi. And put Saturday, Oct. 18 on your calendar. Washington Bus will bring 75 doorbellers to our office that day to join up with 75 Yakima County volunteers for four-hours of canvassing. Sign up at the office or by phone: 469-9278. Food and beverages will be served at a reception after the outing. Please take part in these important campaign activities.
